How To Use Borax

Borax is for business use in manufacturing / industrial purpose and not for use by individuals for domestic use.

Borax Decahydrate, also known as Sodium Borate or Disodium Tetraborate, is a scent free, water soluble powder. When combined with warm or hot water, it enhances the effectiveness of household cleaners and detergents, with higher temperatures yielding optimal results. Due to its inert properties, Borax can be mixed with various cleaning agents, including chlorine bleach. This combination creates a potent solutions for removing stains and disinfecting laundry at home. With a pH of 9.5, it ensures a uniform distribution of cleaning molecules across surfaces, facilitating thorough cleaning.

This product can also be used as a herbicide and insecticide, as plants and  insects find even a small dose toxic.

CAUTION:

  • Always wear the correct PPE when handling this product, gloves and safety glasses / goggles must be worn.
  • Ensure you are handling / using in a well ventilated area.
  • Care should always be taken to avoid ingestion.
  • Avoid use around food. Clean off surfaces thoroughly before using them for food preparation.
  • Change your clothes if the Borax touches it.
  • Remove contaminated clothing.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly after use.
  • If Borax powder gets into your eyes or on your skin flush your skin and eues with water for at least 15 minutes, then seek medical assistance if needed.

Although Borax is a natural product, it is NOT intended for use in cosmetic / personal care products or dietary supplements.
